I hope all the LSAMP students are gearing up for a fabulous trip to Austria. By now, you all should have received some communication from your mentor lab, perhaps with some pre-reading. You may wish to explore the Austrian rail system as you plan your excursions. The railways are dense across the country, and provide relative inexpensive means of transport, particulatly with a pass.
I have not heard anything from my mentor Dr. Mag. Gottfried J. Baier, Department for Medical Genetics, Molecular and Clinical Pharmacology. Was I supposed to hear from him or his group? I have looked up some of his research but I am only able to view abstracts.

ReplyDeleteTrains trains trains. Bring a photo ID with you. If under 25, you can purchase a Forteils card, the price which pays for itself after one way Innsbruck to Vienna. The Forteils card provides you 50% discount on rail tickets. There are also group discounts.
